Present is for u...

The continous work at home and office, tight dead lines and competition bring in lot of stress to people now a days. This is common with all people especialy when couples are both working... I happened to read a personality improver book from Johnson Spencer 'The Present' which is indeed a present when it is implemented in our lives...

It tells, when a problem or stress occurred to us, we keep it in mind and our thoughts linger about it whole time and we loose concentration on what we r doing. This wud spoil the current work and bring in more anxiety and failures to us. With a period of time the cycle cud repeat many times and would certainly drain us out.

To keep away ourselves from this loop, the book suggests to concentrate on present. If at all a problem bothers u, keep a separate time in ur schedule to come out with a solution and stop thinking of the problem. A problem at office has to be left at office only. It shud not be thought of, when watching a serial at house. Similarly our engrossment in office work shud not be troubled by the personal problems.

When a bitter experience of the past frequentls into our mind, all we can do & shud do about it is to learn a lesson from it which inhibits us from repeating the mistake again. Continous revealing of it will not give a solution.

The next is the fear and insecurity of future which failure brings to us. A well planned future wud tell us how to lead a life. Any failure inspite of that wud only be a deviation from those plans, which wud not cause much impact compared to a unplanned life.

Most of us wud be knowing all these but still we wud be in a vicious circle of problems every now and then. The book seems to tell to manage time in a effective and simple way...

Yeah.
we know these things but we still do not implement it, we shld make it a practise of living in the present, planning for future and learn from the past every day and every moment in our life till it becomes a habit!!!.

There is one more book about being in the present - called "power of now" by Eckhart tolle. I have read parts of it. I never complete self-help books. Kind of gets boring after a few pages!
